Rio Vista

The natural features along the border of Twin Falls area world re-known and valued by community and tourist alike. Along the canyon, there are exotic and prized views of the bridge and falls. This property is located adjacent to the main commercial developments of the city and the canyon rim. We worked with the developer to create options of potential zoning uses in this area. This master plan included following proper code requirements and including the use of more modern living establishments than in the surrounding area: townhomes, condominiums, duplexes and a gated community for larger lots.

After finalizing a concept with the most appropriate options and functionality of space, we prepared color illustrations for presentation to the city and future investors. This map depicted phasing of the property, available sizing of office/ retail buildings, layout and fit of multi-family residential and major roads through the property. The location of the open space on this property was very specific to the physical features on site. Because of the natural position of a stream, the topography and the current location of a walking path along the canyon, the open space became an amenity that will be enjoyed by all.

Moonlight

Since collaborating with the city on other projects, we were also contracted to redesign an outdated existing park for the community. The city wanted to have a space for people to get out of the sun with a play area for children and have it function properly with the rest of the park. This circular design was based upon a wheel for incorporating the new amenities, with the playground being the center and the picnic shelters being the spokes. Plantings were used to create separation from parking and soccer areas while adding beauty to the park.
