Canyon’s Retirement
This clients for this retirement center wanted to create a long lasting and interactive landscape for visitors, employees, and patrons. The pathways and landscape were utilized to create a peaceful walk for people using the area and allowing proper connects for flow in and out of the building. Lots of trees were incorporated so that privacy could be achieved, especially in the two patio areas in the back. These areas were spots for serene sitting areas, open lawn, planter pots, and a dry streambed for visual interest. Incorporating the landscape appropriately with the building layout created places where patrons can be well and interact with nature on a daily basis.
Stonehenge of Cedar City
This retirement facility has many other locations across the state, which created a standard that needed to be followed to ensure company branding. We had to incorporate specific landscape features and plantings that would match as well as accommodate date the soil types of the area. Stonehenge Retirement Centers have their iconic rock formation in the landscape to mimic the Stonehenge artifacts. Landscape around this area and around the building for this facility and for use by the patrons, was an interesting task for our team.
Serenity and interacting with nature were the key components.
